FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's soccer begins a four-match home stand Thursday against Kennesaw State and Sunday versus Queens (N.C.) at Pickering Field.
Thursday is Faculty & Staff MVP Night, and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday's match is slated for a 1 p.m. start. All home matches at The Nest are streamed on ESPN+. FGCU enters the weekend 6-4-1 and 3-1 in conference play, coming off a 1-0 bounce-back win at North Alabama. The Eagles have dropped its previous three meetings against Kennesaw State (1-6-4, 0-3-1 ASUN) but hold an 11-4-3 all-time record over the Owls.
Sunday will mark just the second-ever meeting between the Eagles and Royals (2-4-4, 0-1-3 ASUN). FGCU came out on top in the first-ever match in 2022, winning 1-0 in Charlotte, N.C.
Kendal Gargiula and Erika Zschuppe are tied for second in the ASUN in goals scored this season with five. Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Molina leads the ASUN in saves (56) and is second in total shutouts with six. Her six shutouts rank sixth nationally and her saves place in the top 20.
