FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's soccer hits the road to face Atlantic Sun Conference opponents Central Arkansas and North Alabama.
FGCU (5-3-1, 2-0 ASUN) battles Central Arkansas (3-5-2, 2-0 ASUN) at 8 p.m. Thursday and North Alabama (5-2-3, 1-0-1 ASUN) at noon Sunday.
FGCU enters enemy territory riding a three-match win streak consisting of three consecutive shutouts.
Only the FGCU-Central Arkansas matchup will be streamed on ESPN+. FGCU is 2-0 all-time against the Bears, and 3-0 all-time against North Alabama.
Last season, the Eagles defeated Central Arkansas in a thrilling ASUN Tournament semifinal contest in Fort Myers, 3-2 in double overtime. Erika Zschuppe fired the game-winner in the 103rd minute.
This season, Zschuppe is tied for second in the ASUN in goals scored with five and has made SportsCenter Top 10. Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Molina is second in the conference in saves, 53, and second in total shutouts with five.
