Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST.  with the action available to view on ESPN+.

FGCU has won 24 of its last 26 games – including a 76-46 victory Saturday night at Jacksonville State. The victory locked up at least a share of the ASUN regular-season championship, and also secured the No. 1 overall seed – meaning the Green & Blue will host all its ASUN Tournament games at Alico Arena.

FGCU joins Connecticut as the only active programs in the nation to win 25 or more games in 13 consecutive seasons. FGCU has also recorded 19 straight 20-win seasons dating back to 2004-05.

The Eagles are alone atop the ASUN standings, a full game ahead of Liberty heading into the season's final day. FGCU was the first team to clinch an ASUN Tournament berth in 2022-23.

FGCU has now hit 366 3-pointers, for an average of 11.8 treys per game – the highest total and per-game average in the country. The Eagles are 1.8 triples per outing ahead of Wright State and Tulsa. The Green & Blue has tripled their opponents' treys total, allowing only 121 this season. FGCU is third in the country with a scoring margin of 21.8 points per game – with only South Carolina (31.0) and LSU (27.7) sporting higher scoring margins. The Eagles are currently seventh in the nation in assist/turnover ratio at 1.44.

The Bisons are coming off a 65-50 victory at Austin Peay on Saturday. Sophomore guard Bella Vinson scored a team-high 16 points against the Governors, and redshirt sophomore forward Aleah Sorrentino pulled down seven rebounds. Vinson leads the team with 14.3 points and Sorrentino is the top rebounder with 8.4 rebounds per outing.

Wednesday's game will be the 34th meeting between the Eagles and Bisons, with FGCU leading the series 33-0.

Fifth-year guard Sha Carter (Southfield. Mich./Wylie E. Groves HS/Walsh) scored a game-high 20 points against Jacksonville State, while pulling down six rebounds and chipping in two assists. She also collected three steals.

Tishara Morehouse (Milwaukee, Wis./Rufus King HS/Nebraska CC) delivered 18 points, a game-high eight rebounds and seven assists. Senior forward Uju Ezeudu (Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Reynoldsburg HS/Denver) scored a season-best 18 points and pulled down three rebounds.

Morehouse leads the Eagles this season with 16.2 points per game, which ranks second in the ASUN. Carter adds 13.8 points and Winston scores 12.8 points per outing. Carter leads FGCU in rebounds with 5.8 per game. She also leads the team with 138 assists and has put up a team-best 67 3-pointers, with Winston close behind with 58 triples.

After Wednesday's game, FGCU will return home to prepare for the ASUN Tournament, which begins March 4 at on-campus sites. FGCU would play the winner of the first-round game featuring the No. 9 seed vs. the No. 10 seed on March 4, in the March 5 quarterfinals.

FGCU's run to its 2021-22 national ranking was due to the Eagles' continued dominance behind the 3-point arc. The Eagles have led the nation in made threes per game the past three years and in four of the last five seasons -- with an NCAA single-season record total 431 in 2017-18.

Entering this season, the Eagles were selected by both the coaches and the media to repeat as ASUN champions. FGCU is currently ranked No. 3 in the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll. The Eagles finished with a program-best-ever No. 20 ranking in 2021-22 and have four Top 25 finishes in the past five seasons. Further, only the Green & Blue and defending national champion South Carolina have won at least 30 games in five of the last eight campaigns.
