FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis wrapped up the Bonita Bay Classic with two wins over the University of Memphis on Sunday.
Jordana Ossa paired up with Madeleine Joffe and won their doubles match 6-4 to start the day.
In singles, Ossa rallied through three sets to win with a 7-6 (4), 0-6, 10-6 victory.
"Today was another great day to compete, overall, the ladies did a very good job this weekend," said head coach
Courtney Vernon. "We had many out with sickness and injuries, but they battled through and learned a lot."
"We would be remiss if we did not thank Bonita Bay for hosting such a phenomenal event this weekend, the way they take care of our athletes and help our program is very unique and to be able participate in a world-class event is special. We are very blessed to have the Bonita Bay family supporting us."
FGCU will kick off the spring season Jan. 12 hosting DePaul University at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
