FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University women's soccer is primed for its Atlantic Sun Conference Championship semifinal matchup Thursday against second-seeded University of Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. EDT in Nashville, Tennessee. The semifinal battle will be streamed on ESPN+.
FGCU advanced to the semifinal round with a 3-2 win over seventh-seeded Austin Peay this past Sunday at Pickering Field. The Eagles used three second-half goals to spark a come-from-behind win.
The Green & Blue now just sits one win away from making its ninth ASUN Championship Finals appearance. FGCU also eyes to avenge its heartbreaking 2-1 loss at UCA earlier this season as the Bears scored a goal in the final minute of play to break a 1-1 tie.
The winner of the FGCU/UCA matchup will move on to play the winner of top seeded Lipscomb and fourth-seeded North Alabama on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. EST.
The championship match will also air on ESPN+ in Nashville, Tennessee.
