For Openers
• Coming off a thrilling 82-72 overtime win at Liberty on Wednesday, FGCU closes out the regular-season on Saturday against Jacksonville. The Eagles are looking to avenge a three-point road loss to the Dolphins as they continue building momentum towards a run in the ASUN Championship Tournament.
• The game will be part of a doubleheader with the No. 23 ranked women's team (4 PM) and both games will be streamed on ESPN+.  Both games will be a Blue Out and each program will honor their graduating classes prior to tip.
• The Eagles currently sit third in the East Division standings, while Jacksonville (11-4) is tied with Liberty for first place with both teams having earned a first round bye. The East Division remains a tight race with Kennesaw State (7-8), North Florida (6-9), and Stetson (5-10) all playing for seeding today. FGCU is locked into the first round and will host North Alabama (2-13) which is the sixth seed in West Division next Tuesday night at 7 PM.

The Match-up
• Through 29 games this year, FGCU is averaging 77.7 points while giving up 73.1 per game. The Eagles have solid shooting numbers at 44.8 percent from the floor and 35.0 percent from deep. FGCU ranks second in the league in scoring, fourth in scoring margin (+4.6), and third in three pointers made (10.3/game), while leading the league in assists (472, 16.3/game), rebounds (1139, 39.3/game) and blocked shots (144, 5.0/game).
• The Green and Blue is led by Tavian Dunn-Martin and Kevin Samuel who are averaging 20.9 and 11.6 points per game, respectively. Samuel is averaging nearly a double-double with a team-best 9.9 rebounds, while adding 86 blocks. He has already set the single-season record for blocked shots surpassing Kyle Marks (2008-09) who previously held it with 51.
• Cyrus Largie is the third leading scorer on the team at 10.9 points while adding 4.9 rebounds.
• Along with his scoring, Dunn-Martin also leads the Eagles and the ASUN in assists with 6.3 per game which ranks 5th nationally. Austin Richie, Dunn-Martin and Caleb Catto are the top three-point shooters at .369, .363, and .362, respectively. Samuel is the overall field goal percentage leader at 63.8 percent from the floor which ranks sixth nationally. His 3.07 blocks per game also ranks 7th nationally while his 13 double-doubles this season are also 16th in the NCAA. He is also one of just three active players nationally to have 1,000 career points and rebounds. With 292 career blocks, he could become the only player this season to add 300 swats as well.
• Jacksonville has won five straight games entering Saturday's match-up. The Dolphins are coming off a 71-39 win over North Florida on Wednesday night.
• Kevion Nolan leads JU with 14.3 points per game followed by Bryce Workman's 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds. Four other Dolphins are averaging just under nine points on the year.

Eagles Vs Dolphins
• FGCU holds a 16-12 all-time record in the series and are 10-4 all-time in Alico Arena. The 69-66 loss at Swisher Gymnasium earlier this season snapped an eight-game win streak for FGCU and was the fifth game in the last seven decided by six points or fewer.

Dunn-Martin Leads FGCU To First Win Over Liberty
• Tavian Dunn-Martin set a new program single-game scoring record with 43 points leading FGCU to its first-ever win over Liberty, 82-72 in overtime, at Liberty Arena on Wednesday night. The performance for Dunn-Martin marked the second time this season he's broken the single-game scoring record. He previously had set the mark with a 38-point effort in an overtime win over Stetson on Feb. 13. His 20.9 points per game is currently the FGCU single-season record as well, while his 584 points this season stand as the fourth-most for a season after Wednesday's performance.
• Dunn-Martin scored 32 points in the second half and overtime after Liberty held a 31-29 lead at halftime. The guard hit 13-of-28 from the floor for the game and was 12-of-13 from the free throw line. He added six assists and pulled down five rebounds as well. He now has seven 30-plus point games this season and is the only player over the last decade in the ASUN to have more than five.
• Cyrus Largie finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Austin Richie scored eight including two big three-pointers in the overtime session.

Four Eagles Over 1,000 Points
• In addition to Tavian Dunn-Martin (1,467 pts) reaching 1,000 points earlier this year, Matt Halvorsen crossed the milestone during his career at Western Carolina and now has 1,439 through five seasons.
• Kevin Samuel reached the mark at Kennesaw State and now has 1,147 in 123 career games.
• Caleb Catto is most recent Eagle to hit the milestone with 1,014 points in 111 games – hit went over the mark after scoring 11 points in the win at home against Kennesaw State.

Catto Earns Academic All-District
• Senior Caleb Catto was recently announced as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-District team highlighting his tremendous work on and off the court. As a member of the team, he is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as well.
• Catto becomes the first-ever member of the program to earn the accolade. He was also the first player to be named to the ASUN All-Academic Team following the 2020-21 campaign.
• The guard currently carries a 3.75 cumulative grade-point-average as an integrated studies major. He has posted 4.0 GPA's in each of the last three semesters and was a member of the 2021 NABC Honors Court. Throughout his career, he has been honored on the FGCU President's List and Dean's List as well as on the ASUN Honor Roll.
