Men’s Soccer Lands Eight Eagles on ASUN All-Decade Team

ATLANTA – The FGCU men's soccer team led the way with a league-high eight players being named to the conference's All-Decade Team, the ASUN announced Friday afternoon. Seven former Eagles filled up the list followed by one current student-athlete.

Over the past 10 seasons, FGCU's group has helped the program capture four ASUN Championship titles that resulted into four trips to the NCAA Tournament – reached the second round in 2016. Additionally, the Green and Blue have snagged a conference-best seven ASUN regular-season crowns over the past decade as three Eagles have been drafted by MLS clubs.

"For a soccer program and university with such a brief history, FGCU has had a long list of truly impressive student-athletes," said head coach Jesse Cormier. "The sustained excellence in the ASUN is because of the quality of character, leadership and talent of these young men who wore the jersey with pride and focused on becoming the best version of themselves. They believed in this program to help maximize their potential as an Eagle. It's an honor to work with some of them and admire the work that was done by many prior to my arrival."
