FORT MYERS, FL – The FGCU women's tennis team (4-4) will host its fifth home match this season as the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles come to the Nest this Friday at 10.am.
The Green and Blue
The Eagles are coming off two wins from their weekend in Georgia. Last Friday against Georgia Southern, it was a close battle as FGCU came out on top, 4-3. Due to the weather, the match opened with singles with both teams snagging three wins each heading into doubles, where the Eagles later claimed the deciding point. Mercer was more comforting as the Green and Blue dominated in a 6-1 final.
Lourdes Ramalle (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Portland) captured a singles victory against both squads and together with her partner
Alba Retortillo (Leon,Spain/La Anunciata
) they claimed two victories in doubles in the back-to-back days.
