NASHVILLE, Tenn. - First-place meets last-place as the FGCU women's basketball team (21-4, 12-0 ASUN) hits the road Tuesday to battle Lipscomb (3-22, 1-11) in Belmont University's Curb Event Center. The Eagles will not only be looking to win the program's 20th-straight conference game, they'll look to clinch at least a share of the ASUN regular season championship.

Searching For Milestones
With its win over NJIT on Feb. 12, FGCU clinched its 15th-straight season with at least 20 wins and the team is now just four wins shy of its ninth-straight 25-win season.

Lipscomb enters Tuesday's matchup coming off a 67-36 loss to Kennesaw State on Saturday in which the Bisons didn't score double-digit points in any quarter.

Freshman Keely Morrow led the team in scoring for the second straight game, producing 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting along with a team-high seven rebounds. Sophomore Taylor Clark, who leads the team in scoring, returned from a four-game absence to produce three points, three rebounds and a steal.

The Bisons ended a 19-game losing streak on Feb. 9 with a 61-58 victory over Jacksonville.

Better Off Single
FGCU has held opponents to single-digit quarters 16 times in conference play, including two times in Saturday's win over Lipscomb.

Breakout Star
Nasrin Ulel (382 points) is on pace for 490 points this season, which would rank her seventh in program history - just behind Whitney Knight's 504 points from 2014-15, and it would check in fourth-best in the Division-I era. She has already scored 40 more points than she did all of last year - in 11 fewer games. Furthermore, Ulel's 15.3 PPG is currently the fourth-best single season average overall and second-best in the Division-I era.

Alico Arena Tidbits
Nasrin Ulel is tied for seventh in Alico Arena history with 214 3-point field goals attempted in her career. Should she maintain her current 16.3 PPG season average at home, she would become one of just four players in program history to attain a 16 PPG or higher average throughout a single season at home. Her average over 13 games at home this year is fourth-best all-time.

Tytionia Adderly's 441 rebounds is just 23 shy of passing Sarah Hansen (463, 2010-14) for the most in Alico Arena history. In the team's win over North Alabama on Feb. 5, she passed Hansen (174, 2010-14) for the arena's offensive rebounding record and now has 180. She also needs six more points to reach 300 in her career at home.

The trio of Adderly (14 vs North Alabama, Feb. 5, 2019), Ulel (11 vs Jacksonville, Feb. 2, 2019) and Davion Wingate (11 vs Johnson and Wales, Dec. 14, 2018) have produced three of Alico Arena's 14 best single games in field goals made this year alone.

The 70-Percenters
FGCU's starting five of Keri Jewett-Giles, Lisa Zderadicka, Destiny Washington, Nasrin Ulel and Keri Jewett-Giles - who have started 11 of 12 conference games so far - has produced more than 70 percent of the team's PPG and RPG in conference play.

Best in Program History
Tytionia Adderly, who was ranked as the best rebounder in program history by head coach Karl Smesko in a recent post-game interview, moved up to second in all-time for career rebounds with her 16 against North Alabama on Feb. 5. She now has 785 and is only 15 rebounds shy of joining Sarah Hansen (887, 2010-14) as one of just two players in program history with at least 800 career rebounds.

Adderly is the top-ranked player in the program's Division-I era in rebounds per game (8.4), defensive rebounds per game (5.0) and offensive rebounds per game (3.4). Her 8.6 rebounds per game this year ranks as the second-best in the same era, and she's on pace to have the top three single season averages entering her senior year in 2019-20. Furthermore, she's on pace for her third top-five single season in offensive rebounds.

Ain't She Grand?
Lisa Zderadicka, who has averaged 15 PPG over the past three contests, reached the 1,000-point mark for her NCAA career in the Feb. 9 win over Liberty, and she now sits at 1,031.

Four others are also approaching 1,000, led by Destiny Washington (983). Nasrin Ulel (823), Davion Wingate (793) and Keri Jewett-Giles (791) round out the group.

Washington Does It All
Among the group of players approaching 1,000 points, Washington will join the 1,000 point, 600 rebound, 100 block, 100 steal, 100 assist club in her NCAA career once she reaches the scoring milestone. Her 19 3-point field goals this season is eight more than she had her entire career prior.

Furthermore, once she joins the aforementioned club, she'll become just the second player, along with Whitney Knight, to reach those numbers in points, rebounds, blocks, steals and assists while wearing the Green and Blue. Knight achieved 1,574 points, 735 rebounds, 333 blocks, 206 steals and 245 assists, while Washington has 973 points, 642 rebounds, 124 blocks, 119 steals and 106 assists.

Mid-Major Power
Over the past four seasons, FGCU has recorded 121 wins, which is the most among all mid-majors and seventh-most among any Division-I program, trailing only UConn (148), Notre Dame (137), Baylor (135), South Carolina (129), Mississippi State (126) and Maryland (123). On top of that, the program is one of only six in Division-I with three 30-win seasons during that stretch – joining UConn, Baylor, Notre Dame, Maryland and South Carolina.

Leading the 3-Point Revolution
Head coach Karl Smesko has turned FGCU into one of the premier 3-point shooting teams in the nation. This season alone, NCAA Division-I teams have recorded 17 games with at least 18 3-point field goals made, and the Eagles own four of them - the only school among the group with that many.

In 2017-18, the Green and Blue made an NCAA Division-I single season record 431 3-pointers on 1,190 attempts, equating out to a .362 percentage. In doing so, the team made and attempted over twice as many as they did in the program's initial season in 2002-03 (212-for-535). Since that first year, FGCU has made at least 300 in a season 10 times, including each of the past nine seasons.

In 16 + seasons, Smesko's teams have shot a combined 5,118-for-14,793 (.346) from long range, or 9.39 per game. Earlier this season, Kerstie Phills (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Christian HS) made the program's 5,000th 3-point field goal. In fact, the team has made at least one 3-point field goal in 433 straight games and went without at least one make in only one game in program history – Feb. 21, 2006 vs Lynn University (0-for-11).

COACH SMESKO
FGCU head coach Karl Smesko led the 2017-18 Eagles to another historic season. The Green and Blue finished 31-5 overall and 13-1 in ASUN play, capturing the program's eighth ASUN regular season championship and fifth ASUN tournament championship. The team finished the season ranked 25th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll, recaptured the NCAA record for most 3-point field goals made in a season with 431 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in seven seasons, where the Eagles knocked off 5th-seeded and No. 15 ranked Missouri in the opening round. It was the team's second tournament win over the past three appearances. Over the course of the season, FGCU knocked off three ranked teams - No. 15 Missouri, No. 20 Kentucky and No. 21 DePaul.

Over the past four seasons, Smesko has guided FGCU to three 30 plus win seasons while recording a 121-23 (.840) record overall. The now eight-time ASUN Coach of the Year rallied the 2016-17 team to its seventh straight 25-win campaign, culminating in an ASUN tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance. In 2015-16, he was named the espnW mid-major coach of the year following a run that witnessed the Eagles claim a WNIT runner-up finish and a Division-I program best ever 33-6 record. In 2014-15, the team achieved its first-ever top-25 ranking and made another trip to the NCAA Tournament, where the Eagles earned a No. 7 seed and won the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament game, toppling No. 10 seed Oklahoma State.

Including the 2017-18 campaign, Smesko has guided the Eagles to 14-straight 20-win seasons and eight-straight 25-win seasons. He maintains a record of 517-118 (.814) overall in his career, including a 182-16 (.919) mark in ASUN play. Over the past seven + seasons, he has guided FGCU to a 120-4 (.968) record in conference play with four undefeated seasons. Smesko earned his 400th career coaching win in 2014-15 in just 493 career games, two games faster than UConn's Geno Auriemma. Entering 2018-19, he ranked among an elite list of just four active Division I coaches with a career win percentage of .800 or higher, joining Auriemma, Baylor's Kim Mulkey and Stanford's Tara VanDerveer in the esteemed group. Over the past year, first-year NCAA Division-I head coaches Nancy Fahey (Illinois) and Bart Brooks (Belmont) pushed the list to six.
