FORT MYERS, Fla. –  Florida Gulf Coast women's basketball's nonconference schedule features eight home games, highlighted by in-state rival FAU, along with Fresno State, WNIT Fab 4 team Arkansas State, and former ASUN foe Central Arkansas.

Meanwhile, head coach Raina Harmon's Eagles travel to South Carolina and Indiana to headline the road trips for the program's 2026-27 nonconference schedule.

Mini plans are now available for FGCU women's basketball; fans can save with four or six-game flex plan options. Season tickets for FGCU basketball remain on sale. Single-game tickets and group options will be released later, and fans interested in those options can express interest by filling out this form. 

"I'm extremely excited for the season to start," Harmon said. "This group has a different level of hunger and competitiveness, and that's been evident every day in the gym this summer. We have players who understand what we're building and are committed to pushing each other to get better. We know our schedule will challenge us, but those challenges are what will help prepare us to compete for a championship." 

FGCU opens the season with a trip to Indiana on Nov. 3 after the Hoosiers made their way to Fort Myers last year. The game marks FGCU's first regular season road trip to a Big Ten opponent since Dec. 17, 2016, when FGCU played at Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. 

The Eagles begin at home against Arkansas State on Nov. 7, which won 27 games across the 2025-26 campaign. A Veterans Day tilt against Ave Maria follows as the midpoint of a three-game homestand. FAU makes its way to Fort Myers on Nov. 14, as the Eagles look to build off the 2-1 all-time series lead against the Owls after winning 70-59 in Boca Raton last season.

Coach Harmon takes the squad to three-time national champion South Carolina on Nov. 17 for the first time in program history after welcoming Dawn Staley's powerhouse to Fort Myers in December 2025. The Eagles stay on the road for a Nov. 20 matchup at Georgia Southern.

FGCU returns home for a pre-Thanksgiving duel with Fresno State on Nov. 24. The game will be a homecoming for current Fresno State assistant coach Jenna McCarthy, who was an Eagle from 2012-15 as a student-athlete, and coached for FGCU from 2015-19. FGCU will play in Coconut Hoops at Alico Arena after Thanksgiving; opponents are set to be announced at a later date.

The calendar turns to December with a pair of road trips to Florida A&M on Dec. 6 and App State on Dec. 12. The Eagles return to Alico Arena for a Dec. 16 contest with George Mason, and hit the road again for a pre-Christmas trip to Texas as part of the UNISUN scheduling alliance to take on UT Arlington on Dec. 19 and Abilene Christian on Dec. 21.  

App State and UT Arlington are both first-time opponents for FGCU, while George Mason will make its first trip to Fort Myers. The Eagles and Rattlers will play for the first time since 2007. FGCU leads the all-time series with ACU, 2-0, which will renew for the first time since 2017-18. 

The Eagles will close the calendar year in Fort Myers, with a post-Christmas contest against New College of Florida on Dec. 28 and a New Year's Eve battle with their former conference foe in Central Arkansas. FGCU is a combined 9-0 all-time against New College and UCA. 

2027 opens with Little Rock making the trip to The Nest on Jan. 2, and FGCU concludes the nonconference slate with a second trip to Texas to face Tarleton State on Jan. 5. The UAC's Trojans and Texans are also first-time opponents for the Eagles.
