HURRICANE MICHAEL RELIEF DONATIONS- The Green and Blue ask fans to bring items such as hygiene kits, water, blankets, diapers, and personal care items, along with non-perishable food and water to help in the relief efforts for Hurricane Michael in the Florida Panhandle. After Saturday's game, an FGCU staff member will be transporting all collected goods to the Panhandle area for distribution to those in need.
LAST TIME OUT- The Eagles put on a show in their last contest against Webber International Monday. FGCU outshot the Warriors 38-2 on the night, putting the ball in the back of the net eight times in an 8-0 whitewashing.
Evdokia Popadinova (Hadzhidimovo, Bulgaria/Nikola Vaptsarov/Northwestern Ohio) got the scoring going just 3:39 in, her 12th of the year, and FGCU added two more goals before the half via
Morgan Hawes (Coconut Creek, FL/North Broward Prep) and
Kara Kyramarios (Titusville, FL/Titusville HS) to make it a 3-0 game at the half. Popadinova and Hawes each scored again in the second half and the Eagles tacked on three others as well to come away with the 8-0 victory.
Six different players scored and 12 different players recorded a point for the Eagles in the win. FGCU outshot Webber 38-2 in the game including 18 shots on goal, while also drawing all 16 corners in the game.
GAME WINNERS- With six game winning goals this season, not only does
Evdokia Popadinova lead the ASUN, but she also ranks second nationally in the category.

FAREWELL TO SENIORS- Three Eagle seniors will play their final games at the FGCU Soccer Complex Saturday as
Holly Fritz,
Camille Knudstrup, and
Shay Jackson will be sent off in style. In two seasons with the Eagles, Fritz has scored 11 goals and dished out 15 assists, good for 37 career points. A four year starter for FGCU, Knudstrup has played over 6,000 minutes for the Green and Blue, helping anchor an impenetrable backline while also chipping in five goals and 13 assists on the offensive side. Jackson has played in 41 career games for the Eagles, notching five goals and five assists in her four year career.
WILD WILD ASUN- The ASUN playoff picture couldn't be much cloudier as we head into the final weekend of action. Four teams, including FGCU have clinched their spot in the quarterfinal round, but none of the four have even come close to securing their spot in the seeding for the tournament. That probably will not change until the last ASUN game of the year when Lipscomb visits Kennesaw State Sunday night in the Peach State. The Eagles could finish as high as second with a win over Stetson, or as low as sixth if they are unable to secure the three points Saturday.

THE STETSON HATTERS- It has been a disappointing 2018 for the Hatters who were picked fourth in the preseason coaches' poll, but have been eliminated from the postseason picture going into the final weekend of play. The lone ASUN victory for Stetson thus far came in a dominating 4-2 performance against NJIT, coincidentally, the Highlanders only loss of the conference season.
Stetson saw their postseason chances dashed last Sunday when they dropped a 2-0 decision on the road at Liberty. The Hatters gave up two goals in six minutes midway through the first half and could never recover.
The Hatters have struggled on the offensive end this season, netting just 13 total goals in 16 games. Making matters worse, they have been shutout in five of their past six games, with the lone epiphany coming in the four goal outburst against NJIT. Lindsey Parent and Hailey Williams have combined for seven of the 13 goals on the year and have totaled 18 of the 37 total points that the Hatters have put up this season.
Saturday marks the 13th all-time meeting between the Eagles and the Hatters. FGCU holds a 10-1-1 advantage in the series history including a 6-0-0 mark in Fort Myers.
Last year the Hatters halted a 10 game winning streak for the Eagles in the series with a 0-0 draw in DeLand. It was an exciting game with 28 shots and 16 shots on goal, but nobody could beat keepers
Melissa Weck or Emily Plotz, who are both expected to be in net again Saturday for the two teams.
PROMOTIONS- As usual, there will be lots going on at the FGCU Soccer Complex for the game. It will be a whiteout as all fans are encouraged to wear white to support the Eagles. It will also be senior night, with the Eagles three seniors,
Holly Fritz,
Camille Knudstrup, and
Shay Jackson being recognized on field before playing their final games at home in Fort Myers. Fans will get rally towels before the game, as well as shirts thrown into the stands for every FGCU shot on goal.
TICKETS- Single game tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for youth (age 3-15) and Military w/ID. Season tickets are $55 each (one ticket to all 11 home games) which saves 28% off of the adult single game rate. Fall Frequent Flyer Cards are $99 each and include 26 entries to regular season home women's soccer, men's soccer, and volleyball matches. Those 26 admissions can be used for multiple people in any combination and save 45% off the adult single game rate. All Sports Passes are $172 and include a Fall Frequent Flier Card as well as Frequent Flier Cards for Baseball and Softball and save over 70% off of the adult single game rate. Contact the FGCU ticket office at 239-590-7145 for more information.

COACH JIM BLANKENSHIP
A veteran of over two decades in collegiate coaching, head coach Jim Blankenship, who was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, has built FGCU women's soccer into a yearly contender in the ASUN Conference and a rising program in the South Region in just 11 seasons. Blankenship started the program in 2007 and has since guided the Eagles to 11 double-digit win seasons, culminating with ASUN Regular Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2011 and 2012 he also led the Eagles to back-to-back ASUN Tournament titles and became the first team in the history of the university to make it to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles went on to win the 2014 ASUN Tournament and hosted the first NCAA Championship event on campus. The Eagles earned their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the 2015 ASUN Tournament Championship and won their first NCAA game at USF in 2015 while finishing 24th in the nation. In 2016, the Eagles made it three-consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament with a third-straight ASUN Tournament title. A year later, the Eagles became the first ASUN women's soccer program to make four-straight NCAA Tournaments with another tournament title in 2017. Blankenship has guided FGCU to a 154-54-23 (71.5 W%) overall record through the first 12 seasons of the program's existence, including a 75-14-14 (79.6 W%) mark in the ASUN. Blankenship's impressive career record of 394-125-34 (74.3 W%) over 26 seasons has come while leading FGCU, the University of Miami, Lynn University and St. Thomas University.
