@FGCU_Softball Rubber Match Against Kennesaw State Cancelled

KENNESAW, Ga. – Leading 1-0 in the top of the 5th inning the rubber match between the FGCU softball team and Kennesaw State was cancelled due to weather and will not be rescheduled. The Eagles (22-24, 4-7 ASUN) led the Owls (32-15,8-6) 1-0 with Riley Randolph perfect through four inning but rain brought an end to the contest.

The Eagles scored a run in the second inning on a Bri Innamorato (Mullica Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace HS) sacrifice fly and Randolph (St. Petersburg, Fla./Northeast HS) continued to pester the Owl bats through the first four innings of play.

FGCU now turns its attention to a midweek doubleheader against USF Wednesday before making the trip to Stetson for a three-game series next weekend.
