THE GREEN AND BLUE
FGCU embarks on the two-game road trip at 12-6 (1-0 ASUN) after a satisfying win over Stetson last Saturday, in which
Rosemarie Julien (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast HS/Chipola College) set a Division I single game record for the Eagles with 36 points.
Julien swept the ASUN weekly awards following the impressive performance. Her 36 points marks the most by any ASUN player this season.
China Dow (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy of Louisville/Middle Tennessee State) continues to provide a scoring spark off the bench. She had a career-high 18 points in the Eagles win at Stetson and is averaging 7.8 points per game. That's the most by any ASUN player who hasn't made a single start this season.
FGCU hasn't lost a game since dropping a tight one to Big Ten foe Illinois on Dec. 17. Over their six-game win streak FGCU is averaging 72 points per game, 10 threes per game and just 11 turnovers per game, while holding opponents to an average of 51 points and forcing 17 turnovers per contest.
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB
> The Bisons are averaging 11.5 assists per game this season. That ranks fifth among ASUN schools entering this weekend. They dished out 10 assists against Kennesaw State in their ASUN opener.
> Two of Lipscomb's three victories this year have come at home.
>With one more home victory, Lipscomb would tie last year's home win total. Since 2006-07, the most home wins Lipscomb has recorded in a single season is seven.
> The Bisons are attempting 20.6 three pointers per game this season, second highest in the ASUN. They convert 5.6 of those attempts per contest, which ranks third in the league entering this weekend.
