"Today didn't go as planned," said head coach
Sarah Trew. "We struggled with the cold and windy weather and a delay on the course when we should have been able to manage a decent round. Even with our subpar performance today, we learned a lot so we can be prepared for tomorrow. In our final round, we'll need to get back to our original mindset so we can manage a good finish."
Megan Blonien (Altus, Okla./Altus High School/Oklahoma State) and
Mei Khuan Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/ S.M.K. Cochrane) top the team's performers through two rounds, each with a score of 152. Blonien and Yong both carded a 73 in the opening round and shot a 79 in Monday's play. The duo stands among the top-25 players with the plus-8 total scores.
Sophomore
Madison Easterbrook (Burlington, Ontario/Aldershot High School) stands just two strokes behind Blonien and Yong with a two-round score of 154. Easterbrook carded a 75 in the first round and matched Blonien and Yong's 79 in Monday's round. The sophomore is plus-10 and holds a tie at 39th in the field.
Senior
Sara Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy) and freshman
Madeline Marck-Sherk (Ridgeway, Ontario/Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School) round out the Green and Blue's lineup with total scores of 160. Detlefsen recorded rounds of 80 in each of the two rounds so far, while Marck-Sherk produced a 73 in the opening round and struggled with an 87 in Monday's play.
Kelsy Holbert (Lutz, Fla./Steinbrenner High School) matched Detlefsen's score on both days and stands even with the senior and Marck-Sherk at 160 through two rounds while playing as an individual.
