JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – When the FGCU women's soccer team takes the field Saturday at UNF, the Eagles will know the result they need to secure a seventh-straight ASUN Conference regular season title. Regardless of other results, a win Saturday night in Jacksonville means FGCU continues the NCAA's longest active run of consecutive titles to seven.

The regular season finale against the Ospreys is slated to begin at 7 p.m., with live stats available via UNFOspreys.com. A live stream will also be available on ASUN.tv.

LAST TIME OUT
In the final home weekend of the regular season, FGCU took care of business and moved into first place in the ASUN standings in the process. The first hurdle of a crucial weekend came Saturday in the form of Jacksonville. A disciplined Dolphin side was once again tough to break down, but Ali Rogers (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) found Tabby Tindell (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic HS) at the back post for the opener, as the forward headed home her 13th goal of the season. Tindell later assisted on a Lauren Greene (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins HS) goal, to make it a 2-0 lead. Meaghan Mulligan (Freehold, N.J./Colts Neck High School/Tennessee) also tallied an assist on Greene's first goal of the season.

Trailing Stetson by one point in the standings heading into Monday night's match, the Eagles dominated the Hatters but conceded a goal late for a 2-1 final. Lindsey Patton (Jacksonville, Fla./Oakleaf HS) got the Eagles on the board in the 24th minute with her first career goal, heading a corner delivered by Mulligan into the back of the net. Paulina Speckmaier (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep/Florida) added a second in the second half to propel the Green and Blue into first place heading into the final week of the regular season.

A LOOK AT THE STANDINGS
With the slimmest of leads in the ASUN standings, FGCU has the luxury of controlling its own fate. Regardless of what occurs across the conference, a win Saturday night clinches the regular season title for FGCU.

The remainder of the weekend slate sees Stetson face Jacksonville Friday at 7 p.m. Should Stetson lose or draw, the Eagles would require nothing more than a draw the following evening to secure a share of the title.

Saturday begins with Kennesaw State at USC Upstate until all eyes turn to Nashville where Lipscomb plays host to NJIT. The Lady Bisons are the only team other than the Hatters that can catch the Eagles in the standings. Even then, with a 2 p.m. start, FGCU will know the result before the start of its match against UNF.

ASUN SUPREMACY
What FGCU has done during conference play places the Eagles among some of the more historic runs in NCAA history. Since 2010, FGCU has climbed to the top of the regular season standings, bringing a streak of six-straight conference titles into 2016, unofficially the fourth-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest such active streak in Division I.

Perhaps even more impressive is FGCU's form over recent seasons. The Eagles are 30-0-3 in the last 33 regular season home conference matches, the third longest active streak in NCAA. FGCU has not lost a regular season home match in ASUN play since 2009. Boston (39) and West Virginia (34) currently hold longer streaks.

Coinciding with FGCU's impressive home record is its overall record. Heading into the 2016 season, FGCU is unbeaten in 32-straight matches against conference foes in all competitions, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I. FGCU's last loss to any conference foe came Oct. 5, 2012, a 2-0 defeat at UNF.

WHERE THEY STAND
Unbeaten in nine-straight matches, the Eagles find themselves one positive result away from a seventh-straight ASUN regular season title. As FGCU trends in a positive direction, so too has its national rankings. As a team, the Eagles have climbed to 17th in the country in total assists with 33 and 51st in goals against average, holding opponents to 0.797 goals per game.

Individually, Tindell had a run of 10-straight matches with at least one goal come to a close but still remains second nationally in game-winning goals (7), fourth in total goals (13), eighth in points per game (2.13), and 10th in goals per game (0.81). Tindell's stretch of at least one goal in 10 games is tied for the eighth-longest streak in NCAA history.

In goal, Melissa Weck (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) keeps herself in elite company with eight shutouts, good for ninth in the NCAA.
Mulligan and Speckmaier have both risen in the rankings for assists. Mulligan moves into 27th in the country with seven assists while Speckmaier is 54th with six.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
UNF is one of three teams fighting for the final two spots in the 2016 ASUN Championships and similar to FGCU, the Ospreys will likely also know their fate prior to the start of the contest. The Ospreys have been flying high over the past few weeks with wins over NJIT and USC Upstate followed by a tough overtime loss to then first place Stetson.

A trio of Ospreys lead the team with five goals and Alexis Bredeau and Krista Colubiale each have four assists over the course of the year. Katy Mixon is the final team-leader and adds one assist. From the midfield, Sarah Wasser has been the biggest threat, assisting on five goals while scoring three of her own.

Victoria Ekeli brings a 1.67 goals against average into the final match of the regular season as UNF looks to make the postseason for the second time in as many years under Robin Confer.

FGCU holds an 8-1-1 record over UNF in the all-time series including a 2-0 win last season in Fort Myers. Over the previous three meetings, the Eagles have outscored the Ospreys 8-0. However, the last time FGCU lost to a conference opponent was Oct. 5, 2012 against UNF. Since then, FGCU has not lost to a conference foe in 32 consecutive matches.

#TINDELLTRACKER
Tindell has officially secured her spot atop two ASUN career categories during the 2016 season. Against USC Upstate (Sept. 30), a pair of goals and two addition assists made Tindell the most productive player ever in ASUN history. Two days later, Tindell's match-winner was also a record-breaker as the Ocala native became the most prolific goal scorer in ASUN history. Since then, Tindell has added two more goals and one more assist.

The senior forward has 13 goals and eight assists in 2016. With her latest assist, she surpassed 2013 FGCU graduate Ashley Ciesielczyk for FGCU's career assists record.

COACH JIM BLANKENSHIP
A veteran of over two decades in collegiate coaching, head coach Jim Blankenship, who was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, has built FGCU women's soccer into a yearly contender in the ASUN Conference and a rising program in the South Region in just 10 seasons. Blankenship started the program in 2007 and has since guided the Eagles to nine double-digit win seasons, culminating with ASUN Regular Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2011 and 2012 he also led the Eagles to back-to-back ASUN Tournament titles and became the first team in the history of the university to make it to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles went on to win the 2014 ASUN Tournament and hosted the first NCAA Championship event on campus. The Eagles earned their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the 2015 ASUN Tournament Championship and won their first NCAA game at USF in 2015, while finishing 24th in the nation. Blankenship has guided FGCU to a 126-46-20 (70.6 W%) overall record through the first 10 seasons of the program's existence, including a 65-10-11 (81.8 W%) mark in the ASUN. Blankenship's impressive career record of 366-117-31 (74.2 W%) over 25 seasons has come while leading FGCU, the University of Miami, Lynn University and St. Thomas University.
