Â
"We played better today but we weren't able to make a run up the leaderboard," said head coach
Sarah Trew. "We started out really hot and stalled towards the middle of the round. We left a lot of shots out there from the green and on the putting surface. I'm proud of Myka [Yong] for rebounding how she did. Maddie [Easterbrook] and Chelsea [Guoynes] played consistent as well. Tomorrow we just need to do a better job grinding out the greens and paying more attention out there."
Â
Despite struggling in the second round, junior
Sara Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy tops the Eagles on the leaderboard with a total score of 153. Detlefsen stood in second place with a 72 through the first round but fell to 15th with an 81 on Monday. She finished at plus nine in Monday's round with six bogeys, two doubles and a birdie on hole 7 but maintains a position among the top-15 players in the field.
Â
Madison Easterbrook (Burlington, Ontario/Aldershot High School) holds the team's second-place standing, just one stroke behind Detlefsen. Easterbrook shot a 77 in the second round to match her first-round score. With her consistency, the freshman stands tied for 18th in the field of over 80 golfers.

Senior
Chelsea Guoynes (Traverse City, Mich./Traverse City Central High School) matched Easterbrook's second-round score and holds a total score of 157 for 44th place. Guoynes also carded six bogeys with a birdie on hole 9.
Â
Topping Monday's performers was

She sat at plus one through her first nine holes before adding four strokes to her score through her first 15, but carded two birdies in her final three holes to improve. Yong stands at 56th in the field with a total score of 160.
