The Eagles drop to 1-3 overall, while the Falcons stay undefeated and improve to 5-0.

For the game, the Eagles shot 47.7 percent, connecting on 21-of-44 attempts from the field, including 7-of-10 from three-point range. Pierce's (Altoona, Pa.) 16 points eclipsed her previous career-high, which she set on Feb. 19, 2007 against Puerto Rico Bayamon. Pierce shot 6-of-8 (75 percent) from the field and 4-of-6 (66.6 percent) from behind the three point line, while also adding two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Tara Breske and Lauren Prochaska led Bowling Green with 16 points and 13 points, respectively. Breske shot 8-of-12 (75 percent) from the field and added three rebounds, while Prochaska shot 5-of-7 (71.4 percent) from the floor. For the game, the Falcons collectively shot 59.3 percent (32-of-54) from the field, including 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from long-distance. Senior Kate Achter was held to four points, 16 points below her season average, but she made up for her offensive struggles by adding 11 assists.

The first half went back-and-forth, but 11 turnovers hurt the Eagles and BGSU took a 37-34 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Falcons stormed out of the gate to begin the second half, opening the half on an 11-0 run and holding the Eagles without a score through the first 6:50. FGCU handled settled down and mounted a comeback, but BGSU held off the Eagles and won by the final score of 74-60.

FGCU will meet Gardner-Webb on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
