Former Eagle standout Ashley (Cecil) Spencer re-joins the coaching staff for her second stint. During the 2006-07 seasons, Spencer was a Graduate Assistant on the staff before becoming a full-time Assistant Coach in 2008. 

Spencer starred for the Eagles from 2003-05. In her time at The Nest, the Naples, Fla., native was two-time NFCA All-Region player and landed on the ICAA Division II First Team twice (2004-05). In 2005, Spencer was named the ICAA Division II Player of the Year and became the program's first player to be named an All-American by the NFCA. Spencer finished her career with 170 stolen bases, which still sits atop the FGCU record book (72 more than the next closest Eagle) and a .425 batting average (third all-time).
