Allen, begins his second stint with the Eagles in July of 2026 after previously serving as an Athletic Communications Assistant during the 2018-19 season. He will be the main communications contact for the Eagles Women’s Soccer, Baseball, Men’s Tennis, and Cross Country teams.
Before rejoining the Eagles in 2026, Allen served as the Sports Information Director at Florida SouthWestern for eight seasons. During his time with the Bucs Allen was twice named the National Sports Information Director of the Year, first in 2022 by 2YSIDA and again in 2024 by the NJCAA. Allen handled media relations, game operations, and stats as well as the Bucs website and social media platforms that saw over 500,000 unique viewers last season.
FSW saw unprecedented success during Allen’s time across town, winning six NJCAA National Championships while all five programs spent time ranked in the Top 25 of the NJCAA National Rankings including three ranked #1 at one point. Allen promoted six NJCAA National Players of the Year including Eagles Barbara Koehler and Julija Grubisic Cabo while also helping six FSW coaches to National Coach of the Year honors.
Allen promoted 11 CSC Academic All-Americans the past seven seasons at FSW, more than any other two-year school in the country. In 2020 he helped future Eagle Owen Bowers earn the school’s first Academic All-American award and one year later, he promoted Alyssa O’Donnell to the CoSIDA Academic All-American Team Member of the Year award as the top two-year student-athlete in the country. An active member of CSC, Allen served two different stints as the President of 2YSIDA as well as spending time on the CSC Advisory Committee, and the CSC Two-Year Cabinet. He has also been a mentor in the organization’s Mentorship Program and has served as a judge in the annual Publications Contest.
Prior to joining the Eagles the first time, Allen spent nine years as SID and one as Athletic Director at Seward County CC in Kansas where in 2017 he was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as the National winner of the Grant Berger Media Award.
Allen was a Division I student-athlete himself, playing Baseball at the University of Northern Colorado before joining his alma mater as a coach upon graduation in 2006.
Originally from Lakewood, Colorado, Allen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and minors in Communications and Economics at UNC. He and his wife Thais, who is the Head Volleyball Coach for the Eagles, live in Cape Coral with their dogs Kai and Ace.Â
