Matthew Fabian, LAT, ATC

Matthew Fabian joined FGCU in the fall of 2025 as Athletic Trainer, supporting the health and performance of FGCU’s varsity student-athletes. He is primarily responsible for the coverage of the baseball team. With a strong background in baseball, he has a particular interest in upper-extremity assessment and rehabilitation, integrating his knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics to help athletes optimize movement and excel in their sport.

Matthew began his post-secondary education at Ferrum College (2019–2020), studying Exercise Science while competing as a member of the baseball team. He later transferred to Ithaca College, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2024. During his four years at Ithaca, he played varsity baseball and earned All-Conference honors in both 2022 and 2023. He also competed in two NCAA Division III Super Regionals. As part of his clinical training, Matthew worked with women’s field hockey, football, and women’s soccer, gaining broad experience in both upper- and lower-extremity care across diverse athletic populations.

In 2025, Matthew signed his first professional baseball contract with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox of the Pioneer League, continuing his lifelong connection to the game.
