Madison Lord is in her second year at FGCU and currently serves in the role of Director, Special Events & Engagement. In this role, Lord coordinates and oversees the planning, organization, and daily operations of special events and donor engagement opportunities on behalf of FGCU Athletics. She also oversees the development and implementation of events, auctions, and other engagement activities, including the signature philanthropic Night at the Nest gala/auction, Athletics Scholarship Dinner, Academic Honors Luncheon, Hall of Fame events, FGCU Eagles Golf Classic, basketball game hospitality, and assists in Eagles Club benefit delivery.
Prior to moving to Southwest Florida, Lord spent three years as the Assistant Director of Premium Services & Special Events for Iowa State Athletics. She helped coordinate and oversee the event planning and operations of Iowa State Athletics premium facilities for football, basketball, and wrestling gamedays, and assisted in the planning and execution of special athletics events.
Before arriving at Iowa State, Lord spent two years working in the Athletics Event Management Department as the Special Events Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University, while also pursuing her master’s degree. During her time with the Redbirds, Lord was involved in the planning and execution of over 300 rental events, along with assisting in the gameday operations for Redbird baseball and volleyball.
Lord attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and spent two years (2014-15) as a member of the Eagles’ volleyball team. Lord graduated from Embry-Riddle in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She received her master’s degree in sport management from Illinois State in 2019.
A native of DeKalb, Illinois., Lord resides in Fort Myers with her cat, Pawdry Hepburn.
