Dr. Jillian Konopa is a sport psychology post-doctoral resident in a joint position shared between Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and FGCU Athletics. Dr. Jillian joined FGCU in August 2025 as a doctoral intern at CAPS and is extremely excited to be continuing in this new role of an embedded clinician within Athletics. Dr. Jillian is also serving on the Athletics Health & Wellness Committee.
 
Dr. Jillian graduated with her PhD in Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology from Florida State University. Dr. Jillian also holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development Family Sciences from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from Florida State University.
 
When not at work, Dr. Jillian enjoys running and training for half marathons, spending time with her partner and their pets, as well as watching and attending sporting events.
