Dan Teliski

Dan Teliski has served as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and a member of the senior staff since June 2024. He is responsible for all aspects of the FGCU compliance program including but not limited to strategic planning, eligibility, certification, recruitment, financial aid, athletic aid agreements, revenue sharing and NIL oversight, NCAA reports, academics, NIL compliance, staff and student-athlete education, transfer processes, NCAA waivers, rules interpretations and legislation.

Teliski serves as the sport administrator for a baseball program that won the 2025 ASUN Tournament. He worked hand-in-hand with FGCU head coach Dave Tollett, who was added to USA Baseball Collegiate Team Coaching Staff. Teliski has also played a key role in helping transition Florida Gulf Coast University into the NCAA’s post House Settlement landscape, participating in revenue sharing and NIL. 

He began his FGCU career after 25 years with Gannon University, working in almost every capacity of the athletics department during his Golden Knight career that spanned over two decades and helped the department become one of the premier programs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and NCAA Division II.

While at Gannon, Teliski served on the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Division II Committee, NCAA Division I women's water polo national championship committee and the NCAA water polo rules committee. Additionally, he was selected to be part of a limited group of administrators nationally to participate in the NCAA Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute, as well as the NCAA Professional Development Program for Compliance Administrators.

Serving in the capacity of associate director of athletics at Gannon from 2018-24, Teliski's oversight responsibilities during that time span included the baseball, women's and men's cross country, women's and men's golf, women's and men's water polo, women's and men's swimming and diving, acrobatics and tumbling and competitive cheer and dance teams. These programs were part of a department that included 24 intercollegiate teams and 700+ student-athletes.


Teliski consistently provides support to outside groups, grows with professional development, and serves on various committees. He served as the PSAC sports information directors liaison from 2020-04, helping bring projects and ideas of the league's media relations professionals to the conference's administrative groups. Teliski also served on the NCAA Baseball Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) for four years from 2013-16 and the NCAA compliance committee put in charge of developing the rule book for women's wrestling which was an NCAA emerging sport at the time. In 2015, he was the lead administrator for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Baseball Championship as the NCAA site representative.

Teliski received a bachelor’s degree in communication arts with a minor in English journalism in 1997, graduating cum laude. He obtained his Master of Business Administration degree at Gannon University in 2022, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Teliski resides in Fort Myers with his beautiful wife Tianna. He is the proud father of Zachary (26), Victoria (24), Brianna (24) and Joshua (20). Zachary earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Gannon University in Spring 2021. Victoria and Brianna graduated from Gannon University in Spring 2023, majoring in education and psychology, respectively. Joshua enters his junior year at Florida Gulf Coast University as a legal studies major in Fall 2025.
