Stephens concluded an historic career in 2017 that saw her finish tied for the most matches played in program history and produce the fifth most digs, including the third most in the program’s Division-I era. She also finished among the top five in the D-I era in service attempts and aces. On Oct. 27, 2017, she became just the fifth player in program history to achieve 1,000 career digs. Interestingly, she recorded three aces in a five-set match once each in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and doing so ties her for 11th in program history. In her career, she tallied 45 matches with double digit totals in digs and became the first indoor player to complete four years with head coach Matt Botsford.

Stephens became the fifth player in program history to record 1,000 career digs on Oct. 27 against North Florida. She had seven matches with at least 10 digs, including a career-high 23 against USC Upstate on Nov. 5. For the season, she produced 2.28 digs/set, which was the second best total of her career. Individually, Stephens finished third on the team in digs, third in digs/set, second in aces and tied for second in aces per set. Additionally, her 41 assists was third on the team. Among ASUN players, she finished tied for 11th in aces (22), tied for 14th in aces per set (0.20), 15th in digs (246) and 24th in digs per set.

Stephens led the Eagles with 388 digs and 3.37 digs/set as a junior, both of which resulted in career-high marks. In 32 matches, she also finished second on the team in assists (87) and tied for third in aces (29). She notched 22 matches with at least 10 digs, surpassing 20 in a pair of them. Against Indiana, she had 18 digs to help the Green and Blue record the program’s first win over a Power-5 team. She ended the season with what would turn out as career-high totals in assists, aces, aces/set, digs and points.

In 2015, Stephens made 32 appearances while recording the third best reception percentage in program history. She had three aces against New Orleans on Aug. 28 and Hofstra on Sept. 12, and she also posted a then career-best 20 digs against Jacksonville on Oct. 31. She produced seven matches with at least 10 digs and finished third on the team with 215 overall.

As a rookie, Stephens appeared in all 30 matches while making 15 starts and seeing action in 108 sets. She had a season-high 19 digs against Stetson on Oct. 25 and added 13 against Jacksonville in the ASUN quarterfinals on Nov. 21. On Oct. 10, her five aces against USC Upstate is tied for 12th most in a single match in program history, and it’s tied for seventh in a three-set match.

Two-year letter winner at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Fla. … played under the tutelage of head coach Stephanie Gibson …helped Winter Park to state championship in 2013 and a second-place finish in 2012… also played two years at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Fla.
