Marlee Karem (MS, LAT, ATC) joined the FGCU sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer during the 2022 summer. She will be the main athletic trainer for volleyball and beach volleyball.

She earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Louisville in 2020 in health and human performance with a concentration in exercise science. While at UofL, she served as a student-athletic training assistant for the football program. From there, she received her master's degree in athletic training from Ohio University and graduated in 2022. There she worked primarily with the softball and football programs.  
 
In the spring of 2022, she completed her clinical immersive at Marietta College working with the women’s lacrosse team.  
 
Karem currently lives in Estero with her two dogs Kobi and Stormi.
