HIGH SCHOOL
Black comes from Fort Pierce, Florida. She attended Fort Pierce Central High School racking up the accolades. The 2022 TCPalm Softball Player of the Year, held a .686 batting average with 35 hits in just 17 games during her senior season. In those 35 hits, Black tallied seven doubles, five triples and five homers. On the base paths, she swiped 39 bases and scored 35 runs.
Black ranked 9th in slugging percentage, 13th in batting average and 14th in total stolen bases in the state of Florida. In the field, she posted a .976 fielding percentage with 39 putouts on 42 chances, only one error. Black is also a two-time FPC Softball Athlete of the Year (2019 and 2022), and was named All-Star Classic MVP for the south team, a 2021-22 FPC Team MVP, 2020-21 FPC Offensive MVP and the 2019-20 FPC Defensive MVP.
