Finished second on the team in batting average (.339)...Made his first big impact when he hit a grand slam and a solo homer for five RBI in a win at FIU (3/13)...Connected for the walk-off RBI single with two out in the ninth in a 3-2 win over USF (3/19)...Hit a two-run homer in a win over Central Arkansas (4/5)...Drove in three runs including the game-winning RBI as part of a three-run seventh the next day as FGCU clinched the series over UCA (4/6)...Had an eight-game hitting streak that was capped with an RBI triple in a win over Stetson (4/12)...Followed that streak with an 18-game hitting streak that included six multi-hit games, a three-hit game against Eastern Kentucky (5/10)...and a four-hit game with three RBI against Florida Atlantic (5/14)...Also appeared in six games on the mound for the Eagles.

Played at Newsome High School...Hit .427 his senior year and recorded an ERA of 1.45...Was All-County First Team for both hitting and pitching...Honor roll honoree...Played for high school coach Dick Rorhberg.

Plans to major in Communications...Son of Melissa Beam and Mike Dempsey and Chris Beam (step-dad) and Stephanie Dempsey (step-mom)...Favorite sports memory is hitting a walk-off grand slam in extra innings of a playoff game his senior year.
