Stephanie Haas spent two seasons with the FGCU women’s basketball program as the video coordinator from 2016-18. She left to take an assistant coaching position with the Ohio University women’s basketball program in June 2018.
In her role, Haas oversaw all aspects of film breakdown and video needs. She was responsible for supplying the coaching staff with appropriate film for analysis and opponent scouting, and her responsibilities also included editing video and handling film exchange.
Haas, who competed as a student-athlete in the program from 2012-16, was part of an all FGCU women's basketball alumni assistant coaching staff during her two seasons where she worked alongside associate head coach Chelsea Banbury (2005-08), assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Chelsea Lyles (2008-10) and assistant coach Jenna Cobb (2013-15).
Haas was a two-time member of the DI-AAA Scholar Athlete Team and recipient of the ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year award. She was also honored with one of two postgraduate scholarships from the DI-AAA and was named a CoSIDA All-District 4 honoree in 2015.
On the court, Haas finished her career ranked among the program’s top-10 in points (1,138), field goals made (414), free throws made (199) and rebounds (365) while becoming the university's ninth 1,000-point scorer in a win at NJIT on Feb. 13, 2016. She was named the team's most improved player at the end of both her freshman and sophomore seasons.
Haas prepped at Magnificat High School in Avon Lake, Ohio, where she averaged 19.7 points and earned Third Team All-Ohio recognition as a senior.
