Kendall Spray, who finished her playing career as one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in collegiate history, was named FGCU’s director of operations in August 2022 and enters her second season on staff for Eagles.
Spray, who competed for the Eagles in the 2021-22 season after stints at UT Martin (2016-18) and Clemson (2018-21), helped lead the Green and Blue to a 30-3 record in her final college season, which included ASUN regular season and tournament championships, as well as a first-round win over No. 5 Virginia Tech in the NCAA Tournament.
Following the season, Spray put on a show before a national audience on ESPN as she won the Rocket Mortgage Women's 3-point Championship, scoring 18 points in the first round, 25 in the semifinal and 23 in the championship round to take the title.
The Mt. Juliet, Tenn. native concluded her collegiate career ranked fourth all-time in NCAA history with 466 made three-pointers en route to 1,900 career points over 154 games between three stops. In her lone year with the Green and Blue, she was 103-of-226 (.456), breaking the program’s Division I era record for most makes in a season and finishing just shy of the percentage record (.460, Eglah Griffin, 2011-12). Earlier in her career, she made an Ohio Valley Conference record 125 as a sophomore with UT Martin.
Spray earned a bachelor's degree in health science and a master's in human resources development from Clemson. She then attained a graduate certificate in entrepreneurship from FGCU.
