Amber Moore joined the Eagles' staff in June of 2026 as an assistant coach, bringing with her Power 4 experience and a passion for player development and recruiting.
Moore spent four seasons at Syracuse, beginning as the Director of Operations in April 2022 before transitioning to an assistant coach for the 2025-26 season, where she contributed to player development, scouting, and game preparation. Prior to Syracuse, she served as the Director of Operations at the University at Buffalo during the 2021-22 season, where she was part of a program that captured a conference championship under Felisha Legette-Jack.
Moore built her coaching foundation through a series of assistant coach positions. She spent the 2020-21 season as an assistant at Canisius College, focusing on recruiting, post player development, and opponent scouting, before which she served as an assistant at Houston Baptist in 2019-20. Moore began her coaching career as an assistant at Saint Leo University in 2017-18. In March of 2018, she was recognized as a WBCA Thirty Coaches Under 30 recipient, which honors the nation's top rising coaches in women's basketball.
A standout player at Illinois, Moore was the 13th player in program history to score 1,000 career points and an All-Big Ten Freshman Team selection in 2010. She departed as the program's all-time leader in three-point field goals (295) and career free throw percentage (.840), and earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2013. Following her collegiate career, Moore played two seasons of professional basketball overseas in Slovakia and Finland. She earned her bachelor's degree in applied health sciences from Illinois in 2013.
"We're thrilled to add Amber Moore to our staff," said head coach Raina Harmon. "She brings tremendous experience from Syracuse and has been part of winning programs at a high level, including helping Buffalo win a conference championship alongside Felisha Legette-Jack. Amber has a great eye for recruiting and player development, but what really stands out is the way she builds genuine relationships with people. She brings incredible energy every single day, has Power 4 experience, and understands what it takes to compete and win. I'm excited for the impact she's going to have on our players and our program as a whole."
Moore earned her bachelor's degree in applied health sciences from Illinois in 2013 and graduated with an MBA from Saint Leo in 2019.
