Ellie Dougher enters her third season in 2022 with the FGCU softball program. She is currently enrolled in the Forensic Studies Master's program, studying Human Identity and Trauma. 

Hailing from Avon, Ohio, Dougher joins the Eagle program after playing four years (2016-19) at Mercyhurst University (NCAA Division II) located in Erie, Pennsylvania. In her time there, she appeared in 145 games in the outfield, making 131 starts, batting over .300 in all four seasons. Her senior year, she led the team in hits (37) and putouts (106).
