Beth Clayton (MS, LAT, ATC) joined the FGCU Sports Medicine staff as an athletic trainer in July 2023. She has worked with the women’s soccer and men’s tennis teams and now is the primary athletic trainer for the softball, swimming and diving teams.

Beth earned her Bachelor of Science from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA) in athletic training. While at Duquesne she worked with the Duquesne Football team, Bethel Park High School Athletics, and Carnegie Mellon Athletics.

Beth received a post professional master’s degree in Advanced athletic Training from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) and graduated in May 2023. While earning her master’s Beth worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Swansea High School (Swansea, SC) during her first year and Columbia College (Columbia, SC) in her second year.
