Amber Cowart is in her first year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at FGCU for the 2024-2025 term - working with Softball, Beach Volleyball, and Men and Women’s Cross Country.Â

Prior to being on staff, Cowart worked in Orlando at the United States Tennis Association as a Strength & Conditioning fellow from February - June 2024, where she worked with elite junior tennis athletes as well as American professionals. Cowart began her career as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Intern with Webber International University in the fall of 2023, with the responsibility of working with softball, women's lacrosse, indoor volleyball, women's soccer, and coed bowling.Â

Cowart completed her undergraduate degree at FGCU in Exercise Science in the Spring of 2023. She carried out both of her experiential learning sites on the FGCU Campus - in the fall with FGCU Athletics Strength & Conditioning Internship, and in the spring with the Exercise Science faculty and students in the labs and lecture halls.

Amber is an active member of the following organizations: National Strength Conditioning Association (NSCA) holding her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); USA Weightlifting (USAW); and has obtained the Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS) certification from the International Tennis Performance Association (iTPA).
