Jeff Stevens enters his fourth season as a member of the FGCU softball coaching staff in 2023.

Stevens joined the Green and Blue for his first season in 2020. He serves as the hitting instructor and assist Coach Deiros with the overall offensive philosophy.

Stevens has been involved in softball in Florida for the last 20 years. Most recently as the hitting coach for nationally ranked Florida Southwestern College (FSW) Buccaneers. In Stevens’ first year with the Bucs, FSW went 23-2 and was ranked in the top five in the NJCAA Rankings for the duration of the COVID shortened season.The Bucs earned wins over both defending National Champs Chipola and defending State Champs Central Florida.The Bucs averaged 10.7 runs per game through the first half of the season and were hitting .434 at the time of the stoppage.

In travel ball, he’s amassed 15 State Championships, three USSSA World Series Titles and six top-7 finishes at ASA Nationals, including National Runner up in 2016. In his final year, he coached his team to the 2018 USA 16U Junior Olympic National Championship. He previously coached Palmetto Ridge High School from 2006-2011 with appearances in two FHSAA Regional Semifinal games.

Coach Stevens lives in Naples with his wife Suzanne and enjoys fishing and traveling. They have two daughters, Lauren (27) and Lindsay (25).
