Eric Krause, now in his ninth year with FGCU Athletics in 2019-20, operates as the Associate Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning. Prior to his time at FGCU, he had the pleasure of being mentored by some of the best in the business, including Ron McKeefery and Frank Wintrich.
Krause began his time at FGCU as an intern assisting with all sports. After a year, he was promoted to full-time Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, in charge of the athletic development of men’s & women’s golf, men’s & women’s tennis and cheer.
In his tenure at FGCU, Krause has been tasked with all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for a multitude of sports including women’s basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, wwim & dive, men’s soccer, along with the men’s & women’s golf and tennis teams.
Currently, he is tasked with the development and implementation of all strength & conditioning program aspects for men’s soccer, volleyball, beach volleyball, swim & dive, and men’s & women’s tennis.
Throughout his career, Krause has had the great honor of working with a host of very talented athletes, some of which have since gone pro or become Olympians.
Krause is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has also been certified by USAW and Precision Nutrition.
Krause is married to his lovely wife, Christina, who is an educator in Southwest Florida. They welcomed their first child, Mila Elena, to this world on Dec. 25, 2018.
