Sawyer Swanson enters her second year in 2021 after serving as a Resident Assistant from 2019-20 with the FGCU Athletic Training staff. She currently handles all athletic training duties for men's soccer and women's tennis. 
 
Before becoming a Resident Assistant with FGCU, Swanson had stops at Palmetto Ridge High School in Naples and Reinhardt University (GA) as an athletic training student. At Palmetto, her primary duties included working with all spring sports when it came to injury prevention, wound care and first aid responsibilities. Meanwhile, at Reinhardt, Swanson assisted the head athletic football trainer. There, she evaluated injuries and developed rehab treatment plans for student-athletes, while also creating pre-surgical treatment plans. 

Swanson graduated from FGCU in May of 2019 with a bachelors of science in athletic training.
