Tyler Schwab is in his 6th year with the FGCU men's basketball program in 2018-19, and 5th as the Director of Operations after serving as the Coordinator of Video Operations in 2013-14.

In his role, Schwab manages day-to-day administrative responsibilities, scheduling of practices and workouts, arranging team travel, coordinating scouting and film preparation and overseeing the student managers. 

In his role as the Coordinator of Video Operations, Schwab handled film exchange with opponents, assisted with filming games and practices, cut clips for the coaching staff and players and edited film of opponents for scouting.

During his first five years with FGCU, Schwab has been a part of five postseason appearances: 2x NCAA, 2x NIT, CIT. The Eagles have won more than 20 games each season and have also claimed two ASUN Tournament Championships and three ASUN Regular Season Championships.

Prior to his time with FGCU, Schwab spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach at Bay High School in his native Panama City, Fla. where he helped guide the Tornadoes to the state tournament for the first time in four years.

Schwab was a four-year letterwinner at Spring Hill College, graduating in 2012 with a history degree. He was a team captain and finished in the top-5 in the conference in assists for two seasons. From 2007-08 he redshirted at Chipola Junior College during a year in which it won a conference and regional championship, was ranked No. 1 in the nation for 13 consecutive weeks and advanced to the national tournament.

During the 2010 summer, Schwab coached an AAU program. He has also spent time working basketball camps at Florida State, Florida and FGCU. Schwab is also the founder of “Dribbling the Globe,” a charitable foundation which conducts basketball clinics in third-world countries.
