The redshirt-junior became an important cog on the roster for FGCU opting to play on both sides of the ball for the first time since early 2013 when he sustained an injury that forced him to miss his sophomore season. Anderson was an everyday player for the Eagles as a freshman and decided to only take the mound in 2014 after returning from injury. In 2015 Anderson would became the everyday designated hitter midway through the season while maintaining his role in the weekend rotation. On the mound he pitched to a 5-1 record and a 3.33 ERA with 52 strikeouts against just 15 walks. Opponents only hit .265 off the right-hander in 83.2 innings on the hill over 17 total appearances. At the plate the junior hit .302 in 106 at-bats with six RBI and 19 runs scored while sustaining a .357 on-base percentage. His marquee performance on the mound came in a seven inning effort in the Atlantic Sun Tournament with the Eagles facing elimination opposite defending champion Kennesaw State. He would surrender just two runs and strike out two to secure the victory.
As A Redshirt Sophomore (2014)
Came on in the ninth versus Bethune Cookman to lock down his third save of the season (February 23) ... Came on and shut the door on the Manhattan rally to claim his league-leading fifth save of 2014 and preserve the 3-1 victory (March 7) ... Came on in the ninth versus Manhattan and picked up his third save of the series and seventh of the season (March 9) ... Made his first start of the season on the mound and first since the 2012 season and delivered in a big way against the nation's top team (Florida State). The sophomore tossed a career-best 6.0 innings, allowing just three hits and striking out five while giving up two runs (April 2) ... Came on in relief versus Kennesaw State and only gave up two hits over four innings. He would go on to pick up his second win of the season, striking out three in the process (April 5) ... Anderson left the game Wednesday versus FAU with 5.0 innings to his credit; no runs and a career-best nine strikeouts (April 9) ... Tossed 2.1 innings of scoreless relief versus Jacksonville, striking out two (April 12) ... Took the mound on Saturday afternoon versus NKU and tossed a solid 6.0 innings, giving up seven hits and striking out three to earn his third victory of the season (May 3) ... Tossed 7.0 innings of shutout baseball versus ETSU, allowed seven hits and struck out four to secure his fourth victory (May 10) ... Made the start on the mound against Lipscomb in the first game of the doubleheader and tossed a very strong 7.1 innings, allowed just six hits and did surrender an earned run. He would walk four batters and strikeout six en route to earning his fifth victory of the season and lowering his ERA to 2.18 – which ranks second in the A-Sun (May 16) ... Worked a dominant 7.1 innings versus UNF and struck out six en route to his fifth victory this season (May 20) ... Took the ball versus Lipscomb in the A-Sun Tournament and cruised through his 7.2 innings of work, allowing eight hits and striking out three against just one walk (May 23) ...Â

Summer of 2012
In 23 games for the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods Summer league, finished with a 3.00 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched ... Held a 3-1 record as a reliever with 15 saves, which was the second most in the league ... selected as a the 28th best prospect in the league.
As A Freshman (2012)
Earned Atlantic Sun All-Freshmen team honors ... ppeared in 34 games while making 31 starts … finished with a .248 batting average with 14 runs scored and 14 RBI … held a .314 slugging and a .311 on-base percentage … led the team with two triples … put together a six-game hitting streak from May 6-19, and ended the year on a three-game streak … recorded six multi-hit and four multi-RBI games … also made 20 appearances on the mound, good for second on the team, including three starts … opened the year with eight scoreless relief innings on the mound … held a 1-7 record with a 4.08 ERA and 26 strikeouts, while recording four saves … made collegiate debut at second base against Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 17), going 1-for-5 with his first career triple … followed with a 1-for-3 game two with B-CU (Feb. 18) recording two RBI, while also entering in relief on the mound and throwing a scoreless ninth … continued a streak of eight scoreless innings of relief work with seven strikeouts and just five hits … earned his first career victory over Bryant (Feb. 24), allowing no hits and no runs, and picking up two strikeouts in one inning of work … went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base against Rutgers (March 13) … followed with a 2-for-4 game in the series finale with the Scarlet Knights (March 14) … recorded a hit in each of the first two games with North Florida (March 16-18), while adding a walk, two RBI and a run scored in the series … picked up three walks, a hit, an RBI and a run scored in the two-game set at Texas Tech (March 20-21) … went 3-for-9 (.333) through the trio of games at USC Upstate (March 30-April 1), picking up his first career save in game two with three scoreless innings of three-hit baseball which included a pair of strikeouts … recorded an RBI in the 5-1 victory at then-No. 2 Florida State (April 4) … made his first collegiate start against Mercer (April 6), going 4.2 innings and allowing three runs on seven hits with a walk and two strikeouts ... scored twice with two walks in the 6-5 win over then-No. 28 FAU (April 10) … earned his second career save at then-No. 6 Miami (April 11), entering in the ninth and allowing one run on two hits and one walk … went 1-for-1 with a double at Lipscomb (May 6) … hit 3-for-9 (.333) with an RBI and a run scored in two games against Belmont (May 12-13) … had a strong series in the crucial A-Sun regular season finale at Stetson (May 17-19), hitting 4-for-9 (.444) with at least one hit and one run scored in each of the three games, adding a double, an RBI and two walks through the series .. also picked up his third save in the series opener (May 17), and his fourth in game one of the doubleheader (May 19) against the Hatters … registered four hits and a walk with four runs scored, three RBI and a triple through the A-Sun Tournament, highlighted by a 3-for-4 game against Kennesaw State (May 26) which included a run scored.
