FGCU Athletics, NCH Announce Landmark Partnership

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 18, 2026) – Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) and Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics are coming together for a transformational, multi-year partnership that marks the largest sponsorship deal in FGCU Athletics history. Through this landmark partnership, NCH is designated as the Official Healthcare Provider for the Eagles' athletic teams and student-athletes.

NCH physicians will coordinate care for FGCU student-athletes, who will have access to comprehensive, world-class medical care, including emergency care, primary care, orthopedic, pulmonology, spine specialists, neurologists, cardiologists and more. As part of the new partnership, the NCH logo will be placed on the playing surface at Alico Arena, among numerous other marketing and advertising assets.

"We are excited to continue and expand our partnership with NCH," said FGCU Interim Director of Athletics Lauren Leister. "The Eagles are Southwest Florida's Hometown Team and NCH is a partner that has been in this community for 70 years. This partnership helps our student-athletes succeed and will be a major benefit to the growth of FGCU Athletics and the university."

"This partnership reflects our shared commitment to excellence and our deep roots in Southwest Florida," said Jon Kling, Chief Operating Officer of NCH. "FGCU is shaping the next generation of leaders, and NCH is committed to ensuring its student-athletes have access to world-class healthcare resources that allow them to compete, recover and thrive. We are excited to partner with FGCU Athletics as both organizations continue to elevate their impact across our community."

NCH was recently named one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for 2025 by Healthgrades, the nation's leading resource for information about doctors and hospitals. That achievement puts NCH in the top 1% of all U.S. hospitals for overall care excellence. NCH is currently the only hospital in the nation to achieve Healthgrades' top recognition in three critical areas: cardiac care, orthopedic surgery and overall clinical experience.
