FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast softball (4-5) wound up on the wrong side of a pitcher's duel, losing 3-1 to Louisiana Monroe (5-4) in Saturday's nightcap.
ULM scored two runs in the top of the seventh off of three walks and a single to take a 3-1 lead. The Eagles got two runners on in the bottom half of the frame, but were unable to capitalize.

Kiki Daniels RBI double in the fifth inning.
Sophie Wylie notched a pair of hits in the game for FGCU and scored on Daniels' fifth inning double.
