Robinson Earns ASUN Defensive Player of the Week After Anchoring FGCU Back Line

Eagle's Ryanne Robinson was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring the Eagles' back line through the opening stretch of the season. The junior defender has logged 318 minutes across four matches, including back-to-back 90-minute efforts against LSU, FAU, and FIU. She played a crucial role in Sunday's rain-soaked 0-0 draw at FIU, helping secure the team's second clean sheet of the year despite the Panthers holding a 20-4 shot advantage.

Robinson has also contributed offensively, recording her first assist of the season in the Eagles' win over Florida Atlantic. Her consistency, leadership and two-way impact have been key to FGCU's strong defensive start, earning her the first weekly conference award of her career.

Women's soccer plays next Sept. 4 in Gainsville against the University of Florida at 7 p.m.
