FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball continues the season Thursday by facing in-state rival FIU at 6 p.m. in Miami before taking on the University of Miami on Friday at 6 p.m. in Coral Gables.
This will be the 20th meeting between the Eagles and the Panthers. FGCU leads the series 14-5. The teams last met on Nov. 6, 2024, when FGCU won 3-1, extending its win streak over FIU to 14 games.
Miami dominates its series with FGCU, 4-2. The Hurricanes beat the Eagles 3-0 on Sept. 17, 2021.
FGCU is coming off a 3-1 win over Green Bay Saturday.
Barbara Koehler posted 15 kills and 12 digs.
Hanna Borer ran the offense with 33 assists and recorded 10 digs.
Catharina Scorza set a career high with nine kills, and
Anna Marzella recorded a career-high four aces.
FIU is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Georgia Sunday; Miami defeated Illinois 3-1 Saturday.
