Florida Gulf Coast University's 260 student-athletes stand to enjoy greater opportunities to connect with sponsors and build their personal brands through a new business partnership.
FGCU Athletics is contracting with Teamworks, a unified technology platform, to support efficient operations by streamlining communication, scheduling and compliance with collegiate athletics rules. Starting this summer, staff and players of all 15 teams will have immediate access to information and resources that enhance student success and well-being.
The platform's product suite also includes Influencer, a comprehensive name, image and likeness (NIL) business management solution. The AI-powered platform allows student-athletes to build their personal brand, manage social media content and connect with brands and fans to maximize NIL opportunities and earnings while automatically ensuring compliance.
"The collaboration with Teamworks marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing student-athletes and coaches with top-tier tools and resources, empowering them to succeed at the highest level, both on and off the field," said
Colin Hargis, FGCU director of athletics.
Other Teamworks tools included in the package will bolster operational efficiency by managing communication about rosters, calendars and travel information; centralize recruiting data and mitigate the risk of compliance violations; and advance academic success by providing personalized and timely support.
Teamworks collaborates with more than 5,000 sports organizations around the world, including collegiate athletic departments and teams across all major professional leagues.
