FORT MYERS, Fla. — Alexandra Andueza has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Diver of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The junior from Gainesville, Fla., had an outstanding first competition with the Eagles at the FIU Classic.

In the 1-meter dive, Andueza took first place with an impressive score of 293.50. Her performance set a new pool record at the Doral Aquatic Center in Miami, Fla. In addition, her score qualified as a zone score, making her the team's first post season qualifier of the season.

In the 3-meter dive, Andueza posted a score of 256.60, earning a second-place finish to cap off a strong debut outing with the Eagles.

The FGCU swim and dive team now turns its attention to hosting the Eagle Invitational at the FGCU Aquatics Complex on October 10–11.
