Home stand ahead: Eagles welcome Lipscomb, Austin Peay and FIU

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball will host three matches this weekend, beginning with Lipscomb on Friday, followed by Austin Peay on Sunday and a nonconference matchup against FIU on Tuesday.

Friday's match at 6 p.m. will be Taylor Swift Night, with the first 500 fans receiving a free fanny pack. The night will also feature Taylor Swift Music Bingo, and the first five winners will take home a "Life of a Showgirl" album.

The Eagles (10-6, 5-1 ASUN) narrowly lead the all-time series against Lipscomb (7-9, 6-6) 18-17. FGCU swept the Bisons 3-0 in the 2024 ASUN Championship on Nov. 23.

FGCU is perfect against Austin Peay (2-16, 0-6 ASUN) with a 3-0 record, last defeating the Governors 3-0 on Oct. 26, 2004. Against FIU (10-8, 4-2 C-USA), the Eagles lead the series 15-5 and earned a 3-1 victory over the Panthers on Sept. 18 in Miami.

The Eagles are coming off a narrow 3-2 loss at North Alabama on Sunday, while Lipscomb fell 3-1 to Jacksonville. Austin Peay lost 3-0 to North Florida, and FIU swept Sam Houston 3-0, both on Saturday.
