FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer continues a grueling non-conference road start with another trip up to North Carolina to face High Point, Sunday at noon. The Eagles will face their third opponent from North Carolina this year. This stretch of three regular season non-conference away matches in the same state, other than Florida, is the most in the program's history.

The Eagles are 0-4-1 on the year, tallying an 0-1-1 mark over the weekend. FGCU played to a 3-3 draw in Tampa, Fla. against USF. The Green and Blue held a 3-2 lead in the second half but surrendered the tying goal at the 65 minute mark. Shoki Yoshida, Addrian Knights-Browne, and Lucas Windschauer scored on the night. Against Utah Valley on Sunday, the Eagles fell 2-0 off of two counter attacking goals.

High Point is 0-2-2 on the year but have faced some formidable opponents. Half of the Panthers schedule has been ranked opponents having face #14 VCU (T, 1-1) and #7 Marshall (L, 0-2). Marshall has been ranked as high as No. 2 this year. High Point faces ETSU on Thursday.

Both the Eagles and the Panthers have faced NC State this year. The Eagles fell 1-0 off a PK decision with one minute and 55 seconds left on the clock. The Panthers played the Wolfpack to a 2-3 loss.

FGCU's first two North Caorlina opponent were both ranked in the most recent poll with Elon (L, 1-0) coming in at No. 20 and NC State coming in at No. 24.
