FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball remains on the road and heads to the Ole Miss Invitational hosted by University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi Friday.
FGCU (5-1) first takes on Drake (1-4) Friday at 2 p.m. before battling Little Rock (5-2) at 10 a.m. the following day. The Green & Blue will then go up against host Ole Miss (4-2) at 6 p.m.
There will be live stats available for all matches and fans can access the Ole Miss match live on the SEC Network +.
This will be FGCU's first matchup against the Bulldogs and the Trojans. The Eagles faced the Rebels one time before and were victorious pulling out a thrilling 3-2 victory on Aug. 28, 2023, in Alico Arena.
The Eagles are coming off a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Northeastern Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts where they delivered 3-1 victories over the Huskies and Dartmouth while battling through five sets to defeat Lindenwood 3-2.
Skylar English was named MVP of the Northeastern Tournament as she had 41 kills, 33 digs, 10 block assists, seven aces and five assists.
Barbara Koehler and
Oreva Evivie were named to the All-Tournament team.
Drake is coming off a 3-0 loss against Oklahoma Sept. 6, while Little Rock fell 3-0 to Arkansas. The Rebels swept Northern Colorado Sept. 7.
