Third-seeded Florida Gulf Coast University beach volleyball team delivered a flawless 5-0 victory over sixth-seeded Jacksonville University Wednesday in the opening round of the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.

The Eagles will now take on No. 2 Stetson in the quarterfinals at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Kaitlyn Luebbers moved up to third in the FGCU record book earning her 70
th career win.

"There's always a different level of intensity at the conference tournament and our girls rose to the challenge today," said FGCU head beach volleyball coachÂ
Chris Sweat. "Jacksonville is a well coached and much improved team over the years, who played one of the toughest schedules around, and they made us work for every point.
"We know it's only going to get harder from here on out but these rivalries and competitive games are  what collegiate beach volleyball is all about."
 FGCU took control early against the Dolphins, as Syklar English and
Sydney Majick earned a 21-14, 21-14Â Â victory at No. 5.

Jaci Carpenter and
Mia Thompson added another point for the Green & Blue with a 21-12, 21-17 showing at No. 4.Â

FGCU's No. 3 pair of Nicole De Oliveria and Luebbers clinched the match with a 21-19, 21-12 win.
