Eagles begin three-match homestand against Belmont

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University's women's tennis team will host three matches in a row at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

The Eagles will first take on Belmont University (6-5) Wednesday at 10 a.m. Two days later, the Green & Blue will battle Virginia Commonwealth University (10-2) Friday at 11 a.m.

FGCU then welcomes Atlantic Sun Conference member Lipscomb University on Monday at noon.

The Eagles are coming off a 6-1 victory over Miami University, while Belmont dropped a 4-3 decision at Western Kentucky Saturday. VCU fell 4-3 to Old Dominion on Feb. 28, and LU delivered a 5-2 score versus Wofford this past Saturday.

This will be the sixth time the Eagles face Belmont, as they lead the series 5-1, and its first-ever match-up against Virginia Commonwealth. FGCU leads the series 15-1 over Lipscomb and handed the Bisons a 7-0 loss March 30, 2023.
