FGCU Swimming and Diving traveled to Knoxville, Tenn. on Wednesday to compete in day one of the ASUN Swimming and Diving Championships.
Jasmin Kroll took home second in the 500 free, touching the wall at 4:50.05, securing All-ASUN honors and improving her fifth best program time in the 500 free. Eagle relays showed the start of what could be a fruitful weekend when the 200 medley relay team secured bronze with a time of 1:40.84. As a team, FGCU sits in third with a score of 162.5
Eagle divers were stellar on the night with every diver qualifying for a final.
Isabeau Keene qualified for the championship final and posted the ninth best championship score in program history on the 3-meter putting up a score of 264.60 en route to a fourth place finish.
Eleven FGCU swimmers qualified for final on the night. Kroll qualified for the A-Final in the 500 free, taking second.
Emma Bjoernholdt joined Kroll in the 500 free final, posting a time of 4:54.22 and getting a fourth place finish.
Lily Magda (ninth, 4:55.59),
Nadia Helm (11th, 4:58.24), andÂ
Emmakate Zanoli (13th, 5:00.53) all qualified for the B-Final in the 500 free.
The 50 free saw
Libby Russum qualify for the A-Final, eventually placing fourth with a time of 23.06. Three Eagles were in the B-Final in
Mia Burke (ninth, 23.45),
Emma Hixenbaugh (11th, 23.69), and
Alexis Mishler (15th, 23.83).
Two more FGCU swimmers swam in the B-Final of the in
Rebecca Winn (10th, 2:04.75) and
Ella Smith (11th, 2:05.74).
